Values are of great importance to all of us.
Very importantly it must be recognised that values can be different depending on their context. Business values can be quite different to family or relationship values for instance. These should be separated, especially for a highly sensitive person, where self-questioning can present huge challenges and internal conflict. Sometimes physical stress related symptoms can present, and underlying this can be conflicting thoughts where beliefs and values are misaligned. When this occurs within a HSP, this stressful emotional state that occurs as a result can not only impact on the individual, but also their family members. By addressing this conflict, and clearly identifying different values for different situations, expectations can be better met and emotions and thoughts can be better regulated.
